Kull Sensei
Martial Arts Instructor
At the writing of this series, I have been studying Budo for almost sixty years. This video series reflects the choices of strengths over weaknesses, simple over complex, what works over what looks good, and reality over competition. Every student of martial arts of any style, can learn from this video series. Your own martial art will be enhanced through the understanding and practice of what you learn here.
Power is knowledge applied. Weakness is a closed mind.
Which one are you? Welcome to the journey.

35 Power Principles
Remember those stories of the incredible fighting ability of a Black Belt? What a reputation! They could take on multiple fighters and defeat them all with ease. Those stories may be why you started training in the martial arts. But the sad reality is that most of those stories are of warriors from the distant past. The power principles covered in this video series, when applied to what you are already learning, will increase your effectiveness and power, reflecting the magic of those past warriors.

Sixty years of Expertise
I am the founder of the martial art known as Shinan Jutsu. Throughout my sixty-year journey, I immersed myself in the study of Budo. I practiced thousands of hours, over and over, testing this movement, that movement, this technique, that technique, always looking for weaknesses and strengths. And I discovered strategies of what worked and what did not work. The results are in this video series.
Okuden (Inner Secrets)
This series passes along all that I have learned and experienced over the past sixty years and I hold nothing back. But be aware there will be times when I inject a reality check that may go against something you believe. Do not just dismiss those moments. Study what I pass on. Test these principles. Seek out the strengths and weaknesses of everything you learn here. If a concept you learn here works for you use it and pass it on. If it doesn’t work for you, kick it to the curb and think of it no more.
Deadly Effective Techniques
Always remember why you are training. You are training not just to defend yourself, but you are also training to defend and protect those you care for. And because of that, you never quit. Not ever.
Everything you learn here is for your use. However, it is not here for your misuse. There is power within this series. Power over other men and women that you must not abuse.
Elevate Your Martial Arts Skills with Expert Guidance
There is a lot of information here. At times it may seem overwhelming. When that happens, slow down your studies until you have mastered that one power principle. Then move on to the next power principle. This is not a short journey. Nothing worthwhile ever is.

Build Unmatched Confidence
This series is not just to further your knowledge. It is a series with exercises and drills to help you realize the maximum power potential of all your techniques. These exercises and drills are specifically designed to help you apply what you know and what you learn to real life conflicts.
Achieve Deadly Effectiveness
Remember, these power principles are not meant to replace what you are currently learning. They are also not meant to replace the style you are studying. These are power principles taken from my many decades of learning and experience that you can apply to make your own techniques and strategies more effective regardless of what you are studying.

Train with a Five-Time Martial Arts Hall of Famer
I am now in the autumn of my life, and I take time to transfer to this series the lesson I have learned in my study of Budo, Warrior Path. This series is the result of decades of instruction from some of the finest teachers on the planet. I’ve studied several martial arts over the years both in America and in Japan. I’ve attained Yudansha (Black Belts), of various degrees, in Shorin Ryu, Tae Kwon Do, Kenjutsu, Aikikai Aikido, and Yoshinkan Aikido.
I am the founder of the martial art known as Shinan Jutsu. I was recognized by my peers and inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame two times and the Masters Hall of Fame three times. Throughout my journey, I immersed myself in the study of Budo. I practiced thousands of hours, over and over, testing this movement, that movement, this technique, that technique, always looking for weaknesses and strengths. And I discovered strategies of what worked and what did not work. The results are in this series.
